Successful start to the semester at Cybercampus NRW: record numbers in the Cyber Security & Privacy degree programmes at H-BRS
The success of Cybercampus NRW is particularly evident this year in the strong interest in the Cyber Security & Privacy degree programmes at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS). A total of 163 students have enrolled in the bachelor’s programme for the 2025/2026 winter semester. Expectations have also been significantly exceeded in the master’s programme: 23 students are beginning their studies in Sankt Augustin, which underlines the continuing high attractiveness of the programme.
The degree programmes provide in-depth knowledge of IT security, cryptography, network security, data protection and digital forensics. The curriculum is supplemented by practical projects and current topics such as security management and ethical aspects of digitalisation.
The consecutive master’s programme is also in demand among graduates from other universities – even those who previously had a less technical focus and are now seeking the challenge and depth of technical education at H-BRS.
This strong influx confirms that Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences is on the right track with its modern degree programmes in the field of cyber security and privacy – and is making an important contribution to training the IT security experts of tomorrow.
