The “NRWgoes.digital” project, which is managed by the Nachwuchsstiftung Maschinenbau, was launched in October 2018 under the patronage of Minister President Armin Laschet. It is a three and a half year state-wide qualification campaign for digitisation in the dual system, which targets training personnel from companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector, teachers at technical and industrial vocational colleges and apprentices in mechanical engineering.

The Clavis Institute for Information Security at the Hochschule Niederrhein is one of a total of thirteen project partners. In this context, further training is offered for the six hundred training officers and teachers in the field of “IT security” in the form of two-day in-house events as well as webinars. The content of the training courses and digital learning materials was developed especially for this purpose and is accessible through the MLS (Mobile Learning in Smart Factories) learning platform.

The project receives financial support from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the European Social Fund in cooperation with the Ministry for Schools and Further Education in North Rhine-Westphalia.
